Component Design
A large portion of UX work on the Bose.xx websites involved designing re-usable components for Adobe Experience Manager that would be used by content authors to build pages on the site. These components were essentially flexible, templated blocks that struck a balance between design flexibility and authoring complexity.

In this example, I created a significant improvement to an existing component used widely across the site for creating "story panels" on the home page, category pages, and product pages. The existing component was far too complex and didn't work well on all screen sizes, creating a lot of extra work for content authors and QA.

The new component standardized visual skins, size & positioning of elements, and mobile responsive layouts, which simplified authoring significantly while maintaining a strong level of design freedom.
