Search Auto-complete

Customers who use search are typically further along in their purchase journey, meaning higher conversion rates for customers who use search functionality. However, the Bose sites were showing no difference in conversion rate between searchers and non-searchers. 

 

Among several needed improvements to search was "auto-complete" functionality. I collaborated with both a visual designer and the business owner of Adobe Search & Promote to define the configuration and implementation of this feature.

In a 7-week period following the implementation of this functionality, we saw that between 20-30% of customers who clicked the search bar used auto-complete, and for customers who used search in any way, we saw conversion rates jump by 47% globally (year over year).
